“Madison saw a small federal government and thus saw that tariffs would be the way to pay for it since the states would conduct most of the duties and responsibilities. This would promote trade with other countries for income.

I think criminals should be given labor to earn their keep and contribute to the finances of state governments instead of sitting around in Jails and Prisons and they would have a GPS tracking devices installed in them where they can’t remove it. They would have that for immediate tracking if someone were to escape.

If people are working for the government and come up with inventions, the government gets part profits of that invention to be shared with the inventor even though they were commissioned by the government.

State government used the welfare system like the LDS church for those in need.”
